Preventive leadership and teamwork **JOB DESCRIPTION: SSOMA ENGINEER – ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION IN THE MINING SECTOR** **PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:** **GRING SAC requires a licensed and registered professional in Mining Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or Chemical Engineering, with a minimum of 3 years of active professional registration, to serve as an SSOMA Engineer on an electrical construction project within a mining environment.** **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:** Supervise and ensure compliance with the Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Management System throughout all phases of the electrical construction project. Implement and update IPERC matrices, Safe Work Procedures (SWPs), Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and emergency response plans specific to electrical activities. Coordinate preventive actions with technical staff and contractors, promoting an active and sustained safety culture on site. Conduct inspections, internal audits, safety observations, and reports on substandard conditions, proposing immediate corrective actions. Investigate occupational incidents and accidents, preparing corresponding reports and implementing continuous improvement measures. **ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:** Minimum 3 years of experience in SSOMA-related roles within the mining or industrial sector, preferably on electrical projects. Knowledge of mining, environmental, and electrical regulations applicable to medium- and low-voltage operations. Desirable certifications: valid mining safety certification, working at heights, confined space entry, first aid, among others. **DESIRED COMPETENCIES:** Preventive leadership and teamwork.
