This role combines environmental management, community engagement, and technical leadership in mineral exploration. **Key responsibilities:** * Oversee the preparation of all necessary permits for exploration drilling (DIA, FTA, Prior Consultation, CIRA, Start of Activities), ensuring that all submissions comply with Peruvian regulatory requirements and are processed timely and accurately. * Manage contractors responsible for environmental baseline studies, ensuring their deliverables align with project schedules and standards. * Maintain an up-to-date and thorough understanding of applicable regulations to ensure full compliance throughout the permitting process. * Build and maintain strong relationships with industry peers, institutions, academia, and government officials, facilitating smooth permitting processes. * Represent the company in meetings with government entities alongside the Exploration Manager, ensuring alignment on priorities and status updates. * Serve as a liaison to proactively monitor the progress of submitted permits and resolve any issues that arise. * Develop and implement creative approaches to integrate community engagement within the permitting process, fostering trust and local support. * Collaborate closely with the community relations team (CSP) to ensure alignment between permitting activities and community expectations. * Actively engage with local stakeholders to address concerns and promote the social and environmental benefits of the company’s operations. * Coordinate with other RTX Peru teams (CSP, L\&O, Legal, D\&IM, Geology, and project management) to ensure a cohesive approach to permit execution. * Conduct regular site visits to verify progress on permitting tasks and compliance by staff and contractors. * Provide on-site technical guidance to ensure timely and accurate preparation of permit applications. * Work with field teams to identify and resolve challenges related to land access and permitting. **Requirements:** * University degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology, Biology, Law, or related disciplines. * Proven experience in land access, permitting, and stakeholder management in mineral exploration in Peru. * In-depth knowledge of Peruvian environmental regulations and permitting procedures. * Experience interacting with government institutions and mid-level stakeholders. * Strong organizational, project management, communication, and negotiation skills. * Fluent in Spanish and preferably English. **Other:** * Office-based work in **Miraflores, Lima** at least 3 times per week. * Availability to travel regularly to project sites and government offices in Lima and across Peru. **English** **Principal Advisor – Land \& Tenure** * Be part of a team driven by safety and goal achievement. * Great opportunity to continue developing your leadership capabilities. * Live our values: Care, Courage, and Curiosity. * Position based in Lima, Peru. **About the role** **Finding better ways to supply the materials the world needs.** The Principal Advisor – Land \& Tenure is responsible for ensuring exploration projects progress efficiently toward the drilling stage and beyond by managing the permitting process and fostering strong relationships with government stakeholders.
