Job Summary:
We are seeking a Testing and Quality Control Engineer to ensure product quality through testing, certification, and non-conformance management.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the execution of material testing to ensure quality
2. Implement internal testing programs and manage non-conformities
3. Maintain technical communication with certification bodies in English
**HPD CONTRATISTAS GENERALES SAC**, a Peruvian company with over 26 years of experience in tempered glass and aluminum manufacturing, providing services to construction industry companies, is currently seeking a **Testing and Quality Control Engineer**.
**What are we looking for in this position?**
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Industrial, Mechanical, Materials, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in quality areas within industrial processes.
* Experience in laboratories or conducting tests for obtaining international certifications (desirable).
* Advanced technical English: reading, writing, and communication.
* Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturdays from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
* Availability to work in Chilca.
***RESPONSIBILITIES:***
* Participate in the execution of material testing and maintain updated records to ensure product quality.
* Conduct testing and evaluation of tempered glass, laminated glass, etc., according to requirements set by certification bodies and current regulations.
* Implement and maintain internal testing programs required by SGCC or other certification bodies.
* Interpret technical standards (ANSI Z97\.1, CPSC 16 CFR 1201, ASTM, etc.) for proper test execution.
* Manage non-conformities, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
* Coordinate with production on any deviations detected during testing.
* Attend audits, inspections, and requirements from certification bodies.
* Maintain technical communication with certification bodies in English.
* Develop procedures and forms related to material testing to ensure maintenance and improvement of the IMS.
* Ensure compliance with instrument calibration plans and maintain respective records.
* Participate in developing new testing techniques.
* Schedule calibration services for instruments included in the Calibration Plan.
* Review critical materials with corresponding reports.
* Comply with IMS policy, standards, and Integrated Management System documentation.
* Comply with Internal Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
