Heavy machinery operator (shear) Responsibilities: \- Participate in the 5S procedure within the Scrap Yard and stop work if conditions change (adverse weather, tools in substandard condition, etc.). \- Keep machinery in optimal working condition by performing relevant minor maintenance tasks to ensure proper operation, cleanliness, and usage. Immediately report any malfunctions or failures of the assigned machine to the HSE Operations Manager/Operations Supervisor. \- Report and request necessary supplies from the logistics department 5 days in advance of the approaching hour meter (every 250 hours) to perform preventive maintenance on the grapple equipment. \- Ensure all personnel are outside the marked work zone boundary before starting the equipment. \- Cut metallic and non-metallic waste following the established procedure steps for the task. \- Comply with established protocols in case of incidents and/or accidents. \- Operate the excavator with shear attachment according to the manual instructions. \- Drive vehicles according to MTC licenses and CIA Antamina requirements. \- Participate in training activities directed at your area and apply knowledge to procedures requested by the Safety Engineer and Operations Supervisor. \- Follow daily instructions from the immediate supervisor. \- Lead continuous improvement efforts to foster a harmonious work environment for employee well-being and company success. \- Comply with and enforce the rules, policies, and procedures of the Integrated Management System. \- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor inherent to the position.
