Job Description At Talnet, we are looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator — a professional responsible for the expert operation of heavy machinery used in earthmoving, excavation, paving, or other civil construction-related services. Their role is essential to ensuring efficient project progress while consistently maintaining technical accuracy and adherence to occupational and environmental safety regulations. Main Responsibilities * Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, backhoes, wheel loaders, or motor graders according to project requirements. * Perform earthmoving, grading, trenching, and clearing operations strictly following topographic and engineering drawings. * Conduct daily safety inspections and basic maintenance checks before starting the work shift. * Coordinate effectively with ground personnel and other operators to optimize work cycles within the operational area. * Immediately report any technical anomalies or repair needs to the maintenance department or site supervision. * Ensure all maneuvers are performed in strict compliance with Occupational Health and Safety protocols. Requirements and Competencies * Professional experience: Minimum of 3–5 years operating heavy machinery on infrastructure, building construction, or road maintenance projects. * Certifications: Valid heavy machinery operator license and occupational risk prevention training specific to the construction sector. * Technical knowledge: Ability to interpret basic construction drawings and familiarity with machinery control systems. * Personal attributes: High sense of responsibility, punctuality, strong focus on risk prevention, and ability to work collaboratively in a team. * Availability: Flexibility to travel to various job sites as required by client operational needs.
