Job Summary: We are seeking a Mining Engineer specialized in drilling and blasting to supervise, control, and plan activities in coordination with the resident engineer. Key Responsibilities: 1. Supervise and control drilling and blasting operations. 2. Monitor the performance and efficiency of drilling equipment. 3. Plan and schedule activities in coordination with the resident engineer. Corporación Grupo Sur del Perú is seeking a MINING ENGINEER SPECIALIST IN DRILLING AND BLASTING for its offices in the city of Arequipa. RESPONSIBILITIES: \- Supervise and control the execution of drilling and blasting operations in coordination with the Resident Engineer. \- Monitor the performance and efficiency of drilling equipment (rock drills and pneumatic hammers). \- Order the removal of any subcontractor or worker who adversely affects project execution. \- Replace the Resident Engineer for drilling and blasting during their days off. \- Plan and schedule activities in coordination with the Resident Engineer for drilling and blasting. Enforce the continuous presence of a supervisor during high-risk operations, as per risk assessment. REQUIREMENTS: \- Degree holder and licensed member of the Mining Engineering professional association. \- Knowledge and experience with JK SIMBLAST software and information systems. \- Knowledge of explosives magazine installation. \- **Minimum 2 years of experience** in private companies, public sector enterprises, or mining operations as supervisor or resident engineer. \- Availability to work under a 14-days-on/7-days-off regime on highways. \- Must reside in Arequipa, Tacna, or Puno — mandatory.
