Job stability and a positive work environment Solar Energy Technical Engineer **Job Description** We are seeking a **Solar Energy Technical Engineer** with practical experience in the **installation, configuration, and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems**. This role is critical to ensuring our customers’ projects are installed **safely, efficiently, and in accordance with technical specifications**. The ideal candidate combines **technical knowledge**, **fieldwork skills**, and the **ability to interact directly with clients and installation teams**. **Proficiency in English is a plus**, as some technical documentation and communication with suppliers may be in English. **Responsibilities** * Install and supervise solar photovoltaic systems (on\-grid, off\-grid, and hybrid). * Configure and commission **solar panels, inverters, charge controllers, and batteries**. * Conduct site technical assessments (orientation, shading, structural integrity, and electrical load). * Interpret electrical schematics and single-line diagrams. * Provide technical support during and after installation. * Train clients on basic operation of the installed system. * Diagnose and resolve technical faults in solar systems. * Coordinate with the sales team for technical proposals and system sizing. * Comply with electrical safety standards and internal procedures. * Availability to travel to projects in Lima and provinces. **Requirements** * Technical or university education in: * Electrical Engineering * Mechatronics Engineering * Electronics Engineering * Renewable Energy * Industrial Electrician Technician (with verifiable experience in solar systems) * Minimum **1–2 years** of experience installing solar systems (preferred). * Practical knowledge of: * Solar inverters * Batteries (lithium and lead\-acid) * DC/AC protection systems * Ability to work onsite and at heights (roofs and structures). * Willingness to travel. * Driver’s license (preferred). **Desired Competencies** * **English proficiency** (reading technical manuals and basic communication is a plus). * Practical, solution-oriented approach. * Strong time management and ability to work under pressure. * Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical clients. * Attention to detail and responsibility in documenting completed work. * Basic Excel skills and ability to prepare technical reports. **We Offer** * Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. * Growth opportunities within an expanding company in the renewable energy sector. * Ongoing training on products and emerging solar technologies. * Travel allowances for work-related trips. * Job stability and a positive work environment.
