General Supervisor of Chemical and Metallurgical Laboratory - Tacna (Mining)

In Peru, we operate in most economic sectors such as mining, agriculture, and fishing, forming part of the value chain of their products and services. **Job Description** * Comply with Quality, Occupational Safety, Environment policies and specific objectives of the laboratory in charge. * Ensure compliance with SSMA programs and procedures (inspections, trainings, meetings, etc.). * Participate in and supervise the determination and implementation of corrective and/or preventive actions arising from inspections, internal and external audits, or incident investigations conducted by SGS or the client. * Ensure that inspectors have all necessary equipment, materials, and safety gear required to perform their duties. * Coordinate directly with Mine and Plant Superintendents regarding service requests and consequently set analysis priorities and work distribution. * Lead assigned personnel by participating in selection, induction, performance evaluation, and identifying training and motivation needs. * Train personnel under supervision on established instructions and methods. * Maintain or improve productivity levels of the assigned laboratory by developing and supporting corresponding studies. * Supervise sampling at Concentrator or Process Plants, as well as the analysis process when applicable. **Requirements** * Professional degree and registered member in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or related fields. * Knowledge and experience in: + Quality Management Systems and Good Laboratory Practices. + Sampling in Open Pit Mines, Crushing Plants, Leaching, and ADR Plants. + Operational optimization: Crushing Plants, Leaching, Process Plants (ADR). + Metallurgical testing in Laboratory, Crushing Plants, Leaching, Process Plants. + Equipment calibration in Laboratory, Crushing, Leaching, Process Plants. + Mechanical sample preparation. * Intermediate English language skills preferred. * Knowledge of Windows operating system. * Knowledge of ISO standards including ISO 17025. * Minimum 5 years of experience in a METALLURGY laboratory. **Additional Information** * Payroll registration from day one. * Life insurance as per law. * Corporate agreements. * EPS covered up to 80%
