Come and be part of our movement for global health! https://www.pih.org/ https://sociosensalud.org.pe/ Position Title: **General Physician \-Tacna** **Vacancies (1\)** Mission: Provide comprehensive, humanitarian, and high-quality medical care to refugees and persons in situations of human mobility in Tacna, through detection, management, and guidance on common health problems, promoting prevention, self-care, and coordination with services of the Peruvian health system, within a framework of respect, equity, and human rights. Requirements: * Graduate of Human Medicine. Registered with the Medical Board and duly licensed. * Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in the health sector. * Experience working in community health campaigns (not mandatory). * Experience working with refugee populations (not mandatory). * Availability to travel between intervention sites, all located in downtown Tacna (Encuentros Office, SCALIBRINI SHELTER Office, \- UNHCR Office). Responsibilities: · Provide comprehensive medical care to refugees and persons in situations of human mobility, conducting clinical evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up according to MINSA protocols and current humanitarian guidelines. · Accurately and promptly record each consultation in the electronic medical record, ensuring confidentiality and data quality. · Prescribe essential medicines in accordance with the National Formulary and available supplies in the clinic’s medicine cabinet, promoting rational drug use. · Identify and manage priority public health cases (e.g., communicable diseases, gender-based violence, mental health issues) and make appropriate referrals to relevant health facilities—if the user is enrolled in the Seguro Integral de Salud (SIS), refer accordingly; otherwise, coordinate referrals to polyclinics with which agreements are in place. · Actively participate in community health campaigns, delivering on-site medical care, health education, and guidance to refugee populations. · Coordinate with the project’s technical team and local institutions (DIRESA, health facilities, partner organizations) to ensure continuity and quality of care. · Maintain ethical and professional conduct, respecting the dignity, rights, and specific circumstances of patients served, without any form of discrimination. · Participate in continuous training programs offered by Socios en Salud, UNHCR, the Ministry of Health, or other strategic partners to strengthen clinical and community competencies. · Report all activities to the regional supervisor. · Actively participate in work meetings, presenting and discussing cases requiring additional interventions identified during consultations. · Other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
