Management of technical relationships with consultants and contractors DESCRIPTION A leading mining-sector company undergoing strategic transformation, focused on developing a large-scale copper operation, is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the project team of a growing operation. **MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES** * Ensure technical planning, coordination, and integration of ongoing engineering activities. * Develop scopes of work, terms of reference, and technical specifications for engineering and construction services. * Review engineering deliverables, managing RFIs, design changes, and as\-built drawings. * Prepare technical documentation and justification for project committees (costs, scope, schedule, benefits). * Report significant technical issues to the Project Superintendent. * Coordinate with internal departments including Mine, Plant, Processing, Geotechnics, Environment, and Permits. * Manage technical relationships with engineering consultants and construction contractors. * Ensure proper alignment among engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning. * Support complementary activities assigned by management. REQUIREMENTS Licensed professional engineer in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. Desirable specialization or diploma in Project Management or Mining Engineering. Minimum 10 years of experience in mining or industrial projects. At least 5 years leading or coordinating engineering activities in large-scale projects. Experience in engineering development from FEL stages through to IFC. Experience in field construction supervision. Participation in at least two projects involving feasibility and/or detailed engineering linked to permits or environmental instruments. Desirable experience in Greenfield, Brownfield, or plant expansion projects.
