Job Summary: We are seeking a Field Assistant to provide technical-operational support in prickly pear cactus cultivation for cochineal production, including evaluation and data analysis. Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical-operational support in prickly pear cactus cultivation management 2. Sanitary and phenological evaluation of the crop 3. Technical data analysis to improve productivity **We are currently seeking a Field Assistant – Prickly Pear Cactus Cultivation for Cochineal Production. La Esperanza–Trujillo** Functions and Responsibilities: Provide technical-operational support in managing prickly pear cactus crops destined for cochineal production, through systematic recording of agricultural activities, sanitary and phenological evaluation of the crop, analysis of field-generated technical information, and preparation of reports to enhance productivity, crop health, and production system efficiency. * Recording of agricultural activities * Pest and disease assessment * Phenological evaluation of the crop * Technical data analysis * Preparation of technical reports **Required Academic Qualifications** Technical or Bachelor’s degree in: Agricultural Production, Agronomy, Animal and Plant Science, Agro-Exportation, or related fields. *(Experience or training in prickly pear cactus cultivation and cochineal production is desirable)* **4. Work Experience** Minimum of **6 months to 1 year** of field agricultural work experience. * Desirable experience in: * Prickly pear cactus cultivation. * Cochineal management. * Sanitary and phenological evaluations. * Recording of agricultural activities. * Knowledge of prickly pear cactus (Opuntia ficus-indica). * Basic knowledge of cochineal management. * Conducting sanitary and phenological evaluations. * Ability to record and systematize technical information. * Basic proficiency in computer tools (Excel, Word). * Interpretation of agronomic data. **Working Conditions:** * Primarily field-based work. * Flexible schedule aligned with agricultural tasks. * Willingness to travel within the estate. * Reports directly to the Field Manager or Technical Supervisor. * Salary above market average. * Full payroll registration with all statutory benefits. Employment Type: Full-time Salary: S/.2,000.00 – S/.2,300.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
