Job Summary: Field Assistant for Prickly Pear Cactus Cultivation – Cochineal Production, providing technical-operational support, evaluating crops, and preparing reports. Key Responsibilities: 1. Technical-operational support in prickly pear cactus cultivation and cochineal production 2. Health and phenological assessment, agricultural data analysis 3. Preparation of technical reports to improve productivity **We are seeking a Field Assistant – Prickly Pear Cactus Cultivation for Cochineal Production. La Esperanza–Trujillo** Duties and Responsibilities: Provide technical-operational support in managing prickly pear cactus crops intended for cochineal production, through systematic recording of agricultural activities, health and phenological evaluation of the crop, analysis of technical information generated in the field, and preparation of reports aimed at improving productivity, crop health, and efficiency of the production system. * Recording of agricultural activities * Pest and disease assessment * Phenological evaluation of the crop * Analysis of technical information * Preparation of technical reports **Required Academic Qualification** Technical or Bachelor’s degree in: Agricultural Production, Agronomy, Animal and Plant Science, Agro-Exportation, or related fields. *(Experience or training in prickly pear cactus cultivation and cochineal production is desirable)* **4. Work Experience** Minimum of **6 months to 1 year** of field agricultural work experience. * Desirable experience in: * Prickly pear cactus cultivation. * Cochineal management. * Health and phenological assessments. * Recording of agricultural activities. * Knowledge of prickly pear cactus (Opuntia ficus-indica) cultivation. * Basic knowledge of cochineal management. * Conducting health and phenological assessments. * Ability to record and systematize technical information. * Basic proficiency with computer tools (Excel, Word). * Interpretation of agronomic data. **Working Conditions:** * Primarily field-based work. * Flexible working hours according to agricultural tasks. * Willingness to move within the estate. * Reports directly to the Field Manager or Technical Supervisor. * Salary above market rate. * Full payroll registration with all statutory benefits. Employment Type: Full-time Salary: S/.2,000.00 – S/.2,300.00 per month Work Location: On-site employment
