In Peru, we operate across most economic sectors—including mining, agriculture, and fishing—contributing to the value chain of their products and services. **Job Description** * Maintain compliance with the laboratory’s technical and operational activities. * Ensure proper functioning of laboratory equipment and maintain control over measurement instruments. * Report results issued by analysts and/or preparers, where applicable. * Coordinate with the laboratory supervisor the submission of work order specifications from the relevant Commercial Area. * Coordinate with the supervisor or head the distribution of samples according to priorities. * Maintain comprehensive laboratory safety and hygiene. * Monitor daily productivity. * Review and/or coordinate orders for stock replenishment based on operational needs. * Identify, assess, and act upon resource utilization to optimize usage. * Track equipment maintenance and calibration programs. * Participate in and/or promote continuous improvement initiatives within laboratory processes. * Support training of personnel under supervision on established instructions and methods. * Assist in planning and distributing laboratory operational activities among laboratory staff. * Apply, maintain, and propose improvements to the Quality Management System. * Comply with the Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Policy and with the department’s specific objectives. * Comply with the Internal Work Regulations, SGS Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct. * Apply established Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental standards; identify and report potential risks to one’s own safety and health; participate in related activities and trainings, proactively supporting colleagues and leaders to ensure safe and healthy performance of duties. * Other tasks assigned to the position. **Requirements** Bachelor’s degree or professional title in a field related to the applied area: Chemist, Chemical Engineer, Metallurgical Chemist, Chemical Technician, Chemical Analyst Technician, Industrial Chemistry Technician, Metallurgical Technician, or completed secondary education. **EXPERIENCE** In the sector: 1 year \| In specific functions: 1 year **KNOWLEDGE** Office software: Windows environment, Excel Languages: English Good Laboratory Practices, ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC 17025 standards World Class Manufacturing (WCM), World Class Service (WCS), or similar tools **Additional Information** * Formal employment contract from day one. * EPS health insurance coverage at 80% (for employee, spouse, and children under 18 years). * Mandatory Life Insurance. * Ongoing training opportunities. * Corporate partnership agreements.
