Ingredient Preparation** * Wash, peel, cut, and portion food items as directed by the cook or chef. * Prepare mise en place for the shift, ensuring sufficient quantities and proper organization. * Check the quality and freshness of products before use. **2\. Assistance in Dish Preparation** * Assist in food preparation and cooking under supervision. * Follow recipes, house standards, and established procedures. * Assemble simple dishes and assist with plating during peak hours. **3\. Kitchen Organization and Cleaning** * Keep your workstation clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift. * Clean utensils, cutting boards, trays, and surfaces used. * Assist in general kitchen cleaning at the beginning, during, and at the end of the shift. **4\. Inventory and Supply Management** * Check stock levels of basic supplies and report shortages to the supervisor. * Store food properly following rotation rules (FIFO), labeling, and expiration dates. * Ensure efficient use of supplies and minimize waste. **5\. Safe Food Handling** * Strictly follow hygiene, food handling, and safety regulations. * Maintain required standards for nails, uniform, and personal appearance. * Properly use protective equipment (gloves, mask, hat, etc.) when necessary. **6\. Basic Kitchen Equipment Operation** * Operate small equipment such as mixers, ovens, griddles, fryers, or processors, following chef's instructions. * Clean and sanitize equipment after use. * Report malfunctions or issues with equipment and utensils. **7\. Operational Support During Service** * Coordinate with dining room and dispatch staff to ensure fast and orderly dish delivery. * Replenish preparations and service items as needed. * Actively participate in production during high-demand periods. **8\. Teamwork and Communication** * Collaborate with cooks, pastry team, and other operational staff. * Follow clear instructions and maintain respectful and effective communication. * Contribute to a positive work environment and smooth kitchen operations.
