Your journey toward impact and innovation begins here at WSP! **Key Responsibilities:** * Participate in geological, civil, and geotechnical engineering projects for the mining industry, with opportunities to work on projects across other industries. * Perform supervision tasks for geotechnical and/or hydrogeological drilling, including: + Supervision of core-drilling operations with core orientation (measurement of alpha, beta, and gamma angles) + Geotechnical and/or geomechanical logging of diamond drill cores, oriented toward Bieniawski’s RMR89 and Barton’s Q systems. + In-situ soil resistance testing such as SPT/LPT + Hydraulic conductivity testing such as Lefranc and Lugeon tests + Installation of Casagrande and Vibrating Wire piezometers. + Geological-geotechnical mapping of benches in open-pit excavations. + Geological and geotechnical characterization of materials. + Preparation of geological maps and cross-sections. * Prepare daily progress reports. * Assist in preparing documents, including result tables, databases, technical report appendices, and other tasks assigned by the area leader. * Demonstrate a "safety-first" attitude, promote positive health and safety practices, raise safety concerns through appropriate channels, and comply with the Company’s health and safety policies and procedures. * Comply with internal policies and procedures of the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety in all activities performed, among others. **Professional Background:** * Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Geological Engineering or related fields, with experience in supervision of drilling and geotechnical investigations (e.g., test pits, geophysics, etc.). * 3–4 years of proven experience in geotechnical investigation campaigns for engineering projects. Prior experience in the mining sector will be valued. * Proficiency with specialized software (e.g., Dips, Slide and/or ICPR), AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS. * Intermediate-level English language proficiency, with experience drafting technical reports and project proposals. * Proficiency in office productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). * Willingness to work on-site under field conditions. \#Peru \#LI\-Onsite \#LI\-VE1 **Primary Location** PE\-Lima**Schedule** Full\-time**Employee Status** Temporary**Experience (Minimum Yrs.)** 5**Job Posting** May 20, 2026, 3:58:36 PM
