We offer numerous opportunities and challenges that will take both us and your career to the next level. Our **VAS** team is seeking a **Mechanical Technician L3** to join **Inchcape Peru**. The purpose of this role is to carry out diagnostics and mechanical repairs of engines/transmissions, as well as electronic and noise/sound diagnostics on vehicles entering the workshop, with quality and in accordance with the brand’s procedures. **What You’ll Do** * Perform diagnostics and repairs on engines, transmissions, suspension, and steering systems of vehicles, and conduct electrical/electronic and noise/sound diagnostics according to the brand’s technical manual * Inspect vehicles to transparently and promptly relay information to the Supervisor or Advisor, in the shortest possible time. * Execute warranty claims and recalls, providing necessary supporting documentation per importer policies * Meet standard diagnostic time requirements. * Perform requested diagnostics and propose solutions according to the brand’s established diagnostic tree. Suggest resolution approaches. * Upload inspection evidence to the company’s available technological tools, following current procedures * Maintain tools and workspaces in order and cleanliness * Comply with PPE usage and safety instructions specified by the workshop and the brand. * Attend required training sessions and meetings organized by the workshop and the brand. **About You** To succeed in this role, you must have: * 5 or more years of experience in engine and transmission diagnostics and repair, and electronic diagnostics at an authorized automotive brand dealership. (Truck experience accepted) * Theoretical knowledge of engines and transmissions, general mechanics, and electrical systems. * Experience interpreting service manuals, electrical diagrams, and using scanners. * Ability to communicate technical aspects to supervisors and/or Advisors while working collaboratively in a team. * Ability to interpret and prepare technical reports on serviced vehicles.
