**Job Summary** The Delivery Assistant is responsible for assisting the primary driver in efficiently and safely picking up products or merchandise from customers within the assigned area. This role requires high energy levels, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to customer service and punctuality. **Responsibilities** * **Loading and Unloading Assistance:** Assist the driver in loading merchandise onto the pickup vehicle at the start of the shift and unloading it at customers’ delivery points. * **Order Verification:** Ensure that the merchandise loaded and delivered matches shipping documents (invoices, waybills, etc.). * **Navigation Support:** Assist the driver with route planning and navigation to optimize delivery times. * **Vehicle Maintenance (Basic):** Keep the vehicle’s cargo area clean and organized. Report any anomalies or damage to merchandise or the vehicle. * **Customer Service:** Interact with customers in a friendly and courteous manner, addressing basic inquiries or referring concerns to the driver. **Requirements** **Education:** Completed secondary education. **Experience** No prior delivery experience required, although it is preferred. **Skills** Ability to follow instructions. Teamwork capability. Excellent physical condition for lifting and moving heavy packages. **Competencies** Punctuality, responsibility, and customer orientation. Working Conditions: * **Schedule:** Full-time position, with possible overtime requirements depending on pickup volume. * **Environment:** Physically demanding work involving lifting heavy objects and standing or moving for extended periods. * **Location:** Primarily on the road, assisting in the pickup and delivery vehicle.
