**Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Coordinator – Fishmeal Production Machinery** **Subsector:** Fishing Industry – Fishmeal Production **Raw material:** Fish and fish processing by-products from fish canning plants. A leading company in the fishing industry is seeking a **Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Coordinator** to lead comprehensive maintenance of its fishmeal production equipment, ensuring operational continuity, safety, and plant efficiency. Key equipment under their responsibility includes: * Weighing hoppers * Cookers * Boilers * Extruders * Centrifuges * Pumping systems * Bagging machines (bag-sealing systems) Main responsibilities * Plan, schedule, and supervise **preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance** for all plant equipment. * Manage and control **work orders**, spare parts usage, **contractor services**, and specialized suppliers. * Monitor and analyze maintenance management indicators (**MTBF, MTTR, maintenance costs, equipment availability**, among others). * Prepare **technical reports**, maintenance budgets, and **continuous improvement plans** aimed at reducing failures and optimizing resources. * Ensure compliance with **safety, quality, and environmental standards** across all maintenance interventions. * Lead and support **technical projects** (installation, upgrading, or replacement of equipment and systems). * Train, supervise, and evaluate **maintenance technical staff**. * Coordinate with **Production, Safety, and Logistics departments** to ensure uninterrupted plant operations during production campaigns. Requirements * **Bachelor’s degree or professional title** in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. * Minimum **2 years of experience** in industrial maintenance (experience in the fishing industry or fishmeal/food processing plants is preferred). * Knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining **industrial production equipment**, including weighing hoppers, cookers, boilers, extruders, centrifuges, pumping systems, bagging machines, etc. * Intermediate-level proficiency in **Microsoft Excel**. * Experience with **Starsoft software** (preferred) or other maintenance management/ERP systems. * Ability to lead teams, make technical decisions, and work under pressure in continuous production environments.
