Extensive experience in engineering project design and drafting We seek an enthusiastic **Senior Mechanical Piping Designer**, eager to learn and grow within our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in engineering project design and drafting, provide support in design and drafting, proactively resolve problems, and remain willing to undertake diverse tasks and contribute across various aspects of our projects. Responsibilities include: **Providing design and drafting support for projects:** * Develop 3D models and drawing packages for projects. * Develop 3D models of equipment and piping systems using **3D AutoCAD Plant** design software. * Develop/extract all piping drawings, sections, and isometrics (ISOs) from 3D models. * Develop layout drawings, equipment location drawings, detailed piping drawings, and ISO drawings. * Prepare piping bills of materials (BOM) and generate required ISOs and stress drawings. * Generate piping models based on equipment shop drawings and surveyor-provided data for connection points. * Create piping specifications in Plant 3D. * Ensure compliance with approved design standards and specifications for quality design; adhere to company drawing standards and procedures. * Review and comment on vendor drawings and interdisciplinary drawings for incorporation into project drawings. * Generate Navisworks sessions from 3D models. **Providing administrative support for design and drafting:** * Communicate and interact with the Facilities Design Lead. * Communicate professionally and concisely with clients. * Lead CAD model reviews. **Education/Experience Requirements** * **Engineering Design and Drafting Certificate** (3-year program) from an accredited technical institute. * **Over 10 years of experience** in process piping, preferably in water treatment plant projects, utilizing Victaulic fittings. * 3D modeling experience required. * Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D (3D modeling), Navisworks, and other related engineering drawing software. * Knowledge of AWWA, ASME, and ANSI codes, as well as industry standards. * Familiarity with piping specifications, piping support requirements, administrative and technical practices, design instructions, drawings, flow diagrams, and interpretation of vendor information. * Proficiency in PDF editors (BlueBeam Revu, Adobe Acrobat) and Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
