Job Summary: We are seeking a Line Technician to perform optical fiber splicing, certify links, install cables and components, and respond to faults—ensuring the functionality of the infrastructure. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in optical fiber splicing and operation of measurement equipment. 2. Installation and maintenance of optical fiber infrastructure. 3. Response to faults and emergency repairs. We are looking for a **LINE TECHNICIAN** with immediate availability. Requirements * Technical degree in Telecommunications, Networks, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related fields. * Optical fiber splicing (certification preferred). * Proficiency in operating optical measurement equipment. * Minimum 1 year of experience in optical fiber splicing or related work. * **Valid driver's license preferred** * Residence in areas adjacent to Comas, Surquillo, or Cercado de Lima. Responsibilities * Perform optical fiber splicing via fusion and conduct tests using a power meter. * Certify optical links to ensure appropriate power levels. * Install ADSS, drop, OPGW, or other types of fiber cables as required by the project. * Install NAP boxes, splice closures, branch points, and optical distribution points. * Use specialized tools and equipment: fusion splicer, power meter, cable cutter, stripper, etc. * Respond to reported faults and carry out emergency repairs. * Update infrastructure records, coordinates, routes, and completed splices. * Prepare test reports, measurement records, and activity logs. * Comply with safety procedures and standards (working at heights, handling optical fiber, PPE). * Verify proper sealing and waterproofing of splice closures to prevent moisture damage. * Identify field risks and report incidents or findings. * Operate the vehicle for staff transportation.
