Position Summary: The Assistant Air Conditioning Technician ensures the operability and efficiency of air conditioning systems by performing maintenance, diagnostics, and installations. Key Points: 1. Responsible for the operability and efficiency of air conditioning systems. 2. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics, and installations. 3. Ensures design temperatures in critical equipment rooms. Experience and Knowledge Requirements * 3 to 4 years as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Technician (graduated from technical institutions). **Knowledge:** * Proficiency in using Manifolds (analog and digital), vacuum pumps, and refrigerant recovery units. * Oxyacetylene welding techniques for copper piping. * Basic thermal load calculation (BTU) for equipment selection based on area. * Ability to determine whether a failure is mechanical (compressor) or electrical (control board). * Basic knowledge of precision air conditioning units and VRV systems. 1\. Job Summary The Assistant Air Conditioning Technician is responsible for ensuring the operability and efficiency of air conditioning systems (Split, Fan Coil, Packaged, and Precision Units). Performs preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnoses mechanical and electrical faults, and carries out complete installations, guaranteeing that equipment rooms (Data Centers / Electrical Rooms) maintain required design temperatures. 2\. Key Responsibilities * Preventive Maintenance: Deep cleaning of evaporators and condensers, checking refrigerant gas pressures, cleaning filters and condensate pans, and lubricating fan motors. * Corrective Maintenance and Diagnostics: Leak detection, identification of compressor failures, replacement of capacitors, contactors, and sensors. Performing vacuum evacuation and refrigerant recharge (R410A, R22, R134a). * Installations: Mounting of indoor and outdoor units, laying of copper piping (silver or autogenous welding), thermal insulation (Armaflex), and installation of condensate pumps. * Electricity and Control: Electrical power connection to equipment, configuration of digital thermostats, and inspection of electronic control boards. * Critical Power Support: Monitoring of air conditioning units supporting UPS rooms to prevent tripping due to high temperature.
