Will supervise and/or carry out field geotechnical investigations as required, characterizing ground conditions based on field and laboratory studies. Additionally, will perform numerical modeling of geotechnical structures under both static and dynamic conditions. Key responsibilities also include designing structures such as tailings dams, waste rock dumps, and leach pads, ensuring high-quality technical solutions. **Job Responsibilities:** Conduct geotechnical analyses for mining infrastructure design. Prepare technical documents and calculation reports. Supervise and/or carry out field geotechnical investigations (as required). Characterize ground conditions based on field and laboratory investigations. Perform numerical modeling of geotechnical structures (static, dynamic). Design tailings dams, waste rock dumps, and leach pads. Work within a team comprising professionals from Peru and Chile. Interact with Arcadis’ multidisciplinary project teams as assigned. Will be part of the Geotechnics discipline and report to the Geotechnics Discipline Lead in Peru. Other duties related to the position. **Qualifications and Experience:** Licensed Civil Engineers (registered with professional association). Minimum verifiable experience of 5 years in geotechnical projects for the mining sector. Experience in: slope stability analysis; calculation of allowable bearing capacity for shallow and deep foundations; design of tailings dams, waste rock dumps, and leach pads; liquefaction analysis; dam breach analysis (desirable), seismic hazard analysis (desirable). Experience in field work / field geotechnical investigations. Proven knowledge of seepage analysis, laboratory testing, geotechnical instrumentation, DBA, GISTM. Familiarity with software including GeoStudio (e.g., SLOPE/W, SEEP/W), PLAXIS, FLAC (desirable). Availability to work in a hybrid mode (some days from home and others from the San Isidro, Lima office), Monday to Thursday from 8:30 am to 7:00 pm, and Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. * We can only achieve our goals if everyone is empowered to bring their best selves to work.
