An opportunity has currently arisen to join AtkinsRéalis Perú as a Senior Geochemist. **Responsibilities:** * Provide senior technical leadership for geochemistry discipline deliverables. * Lead and conduct geochemical studies and baseline assessments for the discipline. * Plan, process, and review geochemical information for the development of environmental management instruments. * Assess the geochemical composition of materials and propose measures for their environmental management. * Develop fieldwork planning and interpretation of geochemical assays; design geochemical sampling plans. * Experience supporting deliverables with the environmental authority. * Provide technical guidance to personnel within the discipline. * Develop and review hydrogeochemical models (PHREEQC) to predict water quality under various operational and project closure scenarios. * Lead technical and logistical coordination of projects; ensure compliance with technical and HSSE procedures. * Review and validate technical information from laboratory analyses and/or external subcontractors, as well as information generated by other disciplines involved in the projects. * Prepare and support preparation of technical reports specific to the discipline, including critical analysis of results, conclusions, and recommendations from technical studies within the discipline. * Support the management and/or coordination of environmental management instruments (DIA, EIAsd, EIAd, PC, etc.), environmental permits, and/or other environmental consultancy services provided by the company. * Comply with and enforce company procedures. * Comply with the company’s quality management system guidelines associated with the position and area. * Other duties consistent with the responsibilities of the position. **Requirements:** * Academic background: Bachelor’s degree in Geological Engineering, Chemistry, or related fields. * Experience: Over 10 years in the mining and environmental sectors. * Experience in mine project closure (desirable). * Solid knowledge of environmental regulations. * Extensive experience in geochemistry (field and office); formulation and direction of geochemical sampling programs. * Strong proficiency in conducting and supporting geochemical assays, interpreting results, and preparing reports. * Experience supporting deliverables with the environmental authority. * Experience in modeling using PHREEQC. * Advanced English proficiency. * Willingness to travel as required by project needs. **Process:** * Applications are accepted exclusively through our corporate careers portal; applications received via other channels will not be considered. * We will contact only shortlisted candidates for interviews. * Relocation costs are not covered.
