Job Objective** Responsible for the operation, programming, and preventive maintenance of a 6 kW fiber-optic laser cutting machine, as well as interpreting, designing, and developing mechanical and structural drawings according to customer requirements—ensuring material optimization and final product quality. **2\. Main Responsibilities** * **Technical Design and Drafting:** Translate customer requirements into manufacturing drawings and cutting files (DXF, DWG, STEP formats). * **Programming and Nesting:** Use laser machine software (e.g., CypCut / CypNest) to optimally arrange parts on metal sheets, minimizing material waste (scrap). * **Machinery Operation:** Configure cutting parameters (speed, power, assist gas type: Nitrogen/Oxygen/Compressed Air) and operate the 6 kW laser machine to cut carbon steel, stainless steel, and other sheet metal plates. * **Structural Control:** Support or guide the assembly and dimensioning of metal structure projects, ensuring cut parts fit precisely in the workshop. * **Preventive Maintenance:** Clean optical components, calibrate the cutting head, inspect chiller coolant levels, and monitor overall system functionality. **3\. Required Profile (Requirements)** * **Education:** Technician graduate in Mechanical Design, Production Mechanics, Toolmaking, Metal Structures, or related fields (e.g., SENATI, TECSUP, or equivalent institutions). * **Experience:** Minimum 1–2 years operating fiber-optic laser cutting machines (preferably with medium/high power or brands such as **Bodor**). * **Software Proficiency (Mandatory):** * AutoCAD and SolidWorks (intermediate level), focused on sheet metal and structures. * Proficiency in nesting software (CypCut, CypNest, Lantek, or similar). * **Technical Knowledge:** * Advanced reading and interpretation of metalmechanical drawings. * Knowledge of material types (sheet thicknesses, low-alloy steel, stainless steels). * Skill in using measuring instruments (vernier caliper, micrometer, tape measure). **4\.
