Job Summary: We are seeking an Instrumentation Technician to ensure optimal performance of industrial automation systems, including instrumentation, calibration, and programming of Siemens PLCs and SEW variable frequency drives, thereby ensuring operational continuity and process improvement. Diagnosis and resolution of faults in SIEMENS PLCs Our client, a well-recognized multinational industrial company, is currently seeking **an Instrumentation Technician**: **Job Mission:** · Ensure optimal performance of industrial automation systems through precise instrumentation and calibration of equipment, efficient programming of SEW variable frequency drives, and diagnosis and resolution of faults in SIEMENS PLC (S7\-300, S7\-400, and S7\-1200) logic, thereby ensuring operational continuity, safety, and continuous improvement of production processes. **Responsibilities:** · Perform instrumentation and calibration of automation equipment to correct process signal variations, applying field adjustments and validations to ensure reliable measurements. · Carry out programming and configuration of SEW variable frequency drives to optimize their performance, adjusting operational parameters and conducting tests to ensure stable and efficient operation. · Perform basic PLC programming and fault-finding for SIEMENS PLCs (S7\-300, S7\-400, S7\-1200), analyzing control logic and correcting errors to guarantee uninterrupted operation of automated systems. · Execute instrumentation maintenance tasks as scheduled in the maintenance plan and record them in SAP. · Conduct routine inspection programs for equipment on the assigned production line. · Actively participate in new installations involving automation and instrumentation. · Analyze and identify root causes of unplanned production line stoppages related to electrical and instrumentation issues. · Provide technical support to assigned production lines as needed, in coordination with supervision. · Ensure proper implementation of the 5S methodology in the work area. · Understand and identify workplace hazards, safeguarding both personal safety and that of others; apply safety standards and protocols to prevent accidents. · Ensure compliance with SIMA-related requirements, local regulations, and corporate policies. · Actively participate in training sessions assigned by management. · Propose improvements in instrumentation, control systems, and maintenance plans. · Suggest new automation systems and equipment. · Understand and comply with the Integrated Management System policy. **Requirements:** · Technical degree: Industrial Automation Technician, Industrial Electronics, Mechatronics, or related fields. · Certification programs, specializations, or courses in instrumentation, industrial control systems, variable frequency drives, PLC programming, and SCADA. · Certification programs, specializations, or courses in Automation and/or Industry 4\.0. · Minimum 2 years of experience in similar roles within Electricity and/or Instrumentation functions at industrial companies. · Technical knowledge: SAP Production Module (basic), Intermediate MS Office, proficiency in SIEMENS PLC programming software (STEP 7, TIA PORTAL, WINCC). · Availability for fully on-site work at the plant located in Cercado de Lima. · Schedule: Monday to Sunday, with one day off per week; 12-hour rotating shifts.
