APM Terminals **Vessel Supervisor – General Cargo** **Location:** Callao, Peru **Department:** Operations – General Cargo **Job Mission** Supervise, plan, and organize stowage and unstowage operations, ensuring safety, resource optimization, and productivity in port operations. **Key Responsibilities** * Coordinate and supervise cargo loading and unloading operations at the quay. * Inspect vessel conditions prior to commencement of operations and prepare inspection reports. * Execute the work plan and crew assignments as scheduled by the Planner. * Optimize human resources and machinery to improve loading and unloading rates. * Supervise the use of personal protective equipment and safety measures. * Prepare progress and operational results reports. * Participate in operational meetings and coordinate shift scheduling. * Contribute to continuous improvement and achievement of commercial objectives. **Requirements** * **Education:** University graduate in Port Administration, International Business, or related fields. * **Experience:** Minimum 2 years in similar roles (Bay/Deck Supervisor, Tally Clerk, Planner). * **Knowledge:** + General cargo operations (preferred). + Proficiency in Word and Excel. * **Language:** Intermediate English (preferred). * **Driver’s License:** Category A1. **Competencies** * Leadership and teamwork. * Focus on quality and safety. * Sense of urgency and results orientation. **Why Join Our Team?** ------------------------------------- At APM Terminals, we foster a dynamic culture of learning and development that empowers our employees to excel.
