Your journey toward impact and innovation begins here at WSP! **Key Responsibilities:** * Supervise field execution of mechanical and piping work associated with the construction of mineral processing plants, ensuring compliance with drawings, technical specifications, and project standards. * Verify correct installation, alignment, assembly, and leveling of mechanical equipment, piping systems, supports, valves, fittings, and related components. * Ensure fabrication, prefabrication, assembly, welding, and piping testing activities are carried out according to approved procedures and applicable codes. * Review and interpret isometric drawings, P\&ID diagrams, general arrangement drawings, technical specifications, data sheets, and other project technical documentation. * Supervise proper execution of hydrostatic, pneumatic, flushing, cleaning, torqueing, alignment, and other required mechanical tests for system release. * Coordinate with contractors, construction supervision, engineering, quality, safety, and other disciplines to ensure proper planning and execution of mechanical and piping activities. * Monitor physical progress of mechanical and piping work, identifying deviations from the schedule and proposing timely corrective actions. * Verify that installed materials, pipes, fittings, valves, supports, and equipment conform to specifications, approved drawings, and quality certificates. * Participate in inspections, system releases, system walkthroughs, punch list generation, and follow-up on observation closure until final acceptance of works. * Review and validate daily reports, progress updates, quantity take-offs, quality records, inspection protocols, and technical documentation generated by contractors. * Ensure mechanical and piping activities comply with client- and project-established safety, occupational health, environmental, and quality standards. * Identify construction interferences, field constraints, technical deviations, or scope changes, coordinating timely resolution with relevant departments. * Provide technical support during pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases of mechanical and piping systems in the plant. * Ensure compliance with constructability standards, installation quality, document traceability, and technical closure of systems under responsibility. * Adhere to internal policies and procedures of the Integrated Management System for Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety in all assigned activities, among others. **Professional Background:** * Bachelor’s degree and licensed professional in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical-Electrical Engineering, Fluid Mechanics Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum 12 years of experience in supervision, construction, assembly, inspection, or project management of mechanical and piping works in mining, industrial, hydrocarbons, and/or mineral processing plant sectors. * Preferred knowledge of mechanical equipment assembly, piping systems, valves, supports, auxiliary structures, hydrostatic testing, flushing, alignment, torqueing, and system release. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting isometric drawings, P\&ID diagrams, general arrangement drawings, technical specifications, data sheets, construction procedures, and engineering documentation. * Preferred familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and regulations for piping, welding, inspection, mechanical assembly, quality, and safety in mining construction projects. * Willingness to work on-site under field work arrangements. \#Peru \#LI\-VE1 \#LI\-Onsite **Primary Location** PE\-LIM\-Lima**Schedule** Full\-time**Employee Status** Temporary**Experience (Minimum Yrs.)** 12**Job Posting** Jul 2, 2026, 10:29:32 PM
