Cutting Technician Operator Responsibilities: \- Request required supplies for the next shift five days in advance from the logistics department, using the approved format and signed by the supervisor, for cutting (oxy-fuel, plasma, thermal lance, diamond wire). \- Inspect cutting equipment (oxy-fuel, plasma, thermal lance, diamond wire) and tools to ensure they are in good working condition; if replacement is needed, submit the request using the approved format signed by the supervisor to logistics. \- Ensure all personnel are outside the delineated work zone boundary before commencing metal and non-metal waste clearance using cutting equipment. \- Perform fire watch duties (when required), which include: \- Remain vigilant in the area to verify that conditions under which the permit was issued remain unchanged and observe whether fire results from the work. \- Have a fire extinguisher readily available and use it immediately in case of fire ignition. \- Verify that equipment complies with safety requirements according to company regulations and standards, as well as the manufacturer’s manual. \- Participate in training activities relevant to your area and apply acquired knowledge to procedures requested by the Safety Engineer and Operations Supervisor. \- Comply with daily instructions from your immediate supervisor. \- Lead continuous improvement efforts aimed at fostering a harmonious work environment for employee well-being and company success. \- Comply with and enforce the rules, policies, and procedures of the Integrated Management System. \- Carry out any other duties assigned by your immediate supervisor inherent to this position. Requirements: \- Minimum two years’ experience operating oxy-fuel cutting equipment. \- Availability to work in Huaraz. \- Availability to work under the mining work regime 20 x 10. \- Availability to work at an altitude of 4,500 meters above sea level. \- Technical education.
