Position Summary: We are seeking a Head of Project Planning and Control to lead the planning, monitoring, and reporting of mining projects, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk management. Manage the tendering and award process for packages **Date:** Jan 14, 2026 **Location:** 14 \- LIMA, PE **Company:** Buenaventura At Buenaventura, we are seeking a **Head of Project Planning and Control – Mining Unit:** **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead phase- and annual-level planning for all Projects and Innovation VP’s projects lacking a dedicated project control team, including preparation and updates—whenever required—of scope documents (deliverables), schedules, and budgets. * Prepare and update Project Charters for all Projects and Innovation VP’s projects lacking a dedicated project control team. Additionally, track Charter approvals through budget loading into SAP and subsequent release for utilization (including coordination with Finance, IT, and Accounting departments). * Conduct continuous monitoring (including routine meetings) and reporting on scope variance (change management), physical progress (progress reporting), financial performance (earned value reporting, contingency management reporting, forecasted cash flow reporting), and risk and opportunity management for Projects and Innovation VP’s projects lacking a dedicated project control team, identifying and reporting deviations and trends along with proposed corrective actions. * Develop procurement plans for projects by reorganizing project budgets in coordination with project leaders. Furthermore, manage the tendering and award process for packages with support from the Corporate Logistics Department. **Professional Profile:** * Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields * Minimum 8 years’ experience leading mining or infrastructure project controls * Specialization in Project Management (PMI certification preferred) ***IMPORTANT!*** ***Buenaventura does not request any payments of any kind to participate in its selection processes.
