The project is a key strategic initiative aimed at ensuring the long-term environmental and operational sustainability of the operation. ##### **Your Impact** From the Tax Department, you will provide specialized support to the project. Your role will be critical in ensuring, together with the tax team, accurate tax reporting for the project, compliance with tax obligations, and accuracy of information used for financial decision-making during the execution phase. ##### **As part of our team, you will:** Join the Tax team, working closely with Finance, Project Control, project leaders and other stakeholders. You will support critical tax reporting processes, SOX compliance and project tax management, contributing to a collaborative, results-oriented environment aligned with Newmont’s corporate standards. **Key Responsibilities** * Support preparation of monthly indirect tax returns by verifying documentation supporting the project’s IGV (General Sales Tax). * Implement and maintain technological solutions for tax reporting. * Support the Tax Manager in updating the tax risk register and monitoring the action plan for WTP. * Review reconciliation of SAP reports with operational cost reports to address tax-related queries directed to project teams. * Collect, organize and validate documentary support associated with projects (contracts, service orders, invoices, technical reports, etc.) to ensure traceability and appropriate substantiation. * Support review and validation of project data and supporting documentation to ensure tax compliance. * Collaborate on continuous improvement of tax reporting through optimization of formats and automation of data analysis processes. * Monitor and track tax regulations. * Prepare and maintain necessary supporting documentation to facilitate future internal and external audits, as well as potential regulatory reviews. * Coordinate with Projects, Procurement, Finance, Accounting and Audit departments to ensure consistency in reported information and applied criteria, as well as timely delivery of information required by the Tax team. ##### **Requirements for Success in This Role** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Administration, Finance or related field. * Advanced proficiency in SAP and Excel. * Experience handling cost and large-volume project data. * High attention to detail, analytical ability and organizational skills. * Ability to work with multiple stakeholders and meet defined deadlines. ##### **Your Work Environment** * You will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team with constant interaction across local and international areas. * You will participate in a strategically important technical project for mining operations, contributing across all tax phases—from contractual planning to financial execution. * Hybrid work model based in Cajamarca: attendance at the office is expected for at least three days per week. * Occasional in-person attendance in Lima may be required (subject to adjustments based on project needs and coordination with the Tax team). * Good health and physical condition are essential, as part of the work is conducted at altitudes between 3,000 and 4,000 meters above sea level.
