Ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with applicable internal standards, policies, and procedures. **What Do We Expect From You?** * Completed technical degree in Marketing, Administration, or Sales. * Minimum Experience **Internal (Other SBP positions):** Customer Service Platform / Service Promoter / Administrative Assistant (5 years) **External** Mortgage Business Executive (2 years) **What Challenges Will You Face?** * Promotes a customer-centric culture to deepen client relationships and leverage the Bank’s extensive networks, systems, and expertise. * * Conducts mortgage loan placements through direct contact with clients, as well as with both bank-affiliated and non-affiliated builders and referral networks—identifying new business opportunities and establishing relationships with new builders. * Identifies and visits new and potential clients. * Manages and provides service at sales booths for assigned projects. * Visits and engages with new and potential builders who can provide potential clients. * Conducts evaluation and proposal (pre-qualification and qualification) of applications for submission to the Credit Unit for subsequent evaluation and approval. * Monitors loans through to disbursement. * Stays informed of and complies with current PLA/FT (Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) policies, standards, procedures, and controls outlined in BNS manuals, to maintain risk levels acceptable to the Scotiabank Group. Also fulfills periodic PLA/FT assessments and/or certifications within prescribed timelines. * Understands the Bank’s risk culture and how risk appetite must be considered in daily activities and decisions. * Actively conducts effective and efficient operations within respective areas while ensuring the suitability, compliance, and effectiveness of daily business controls—thereby fulfilling obligations aimed at mitigating operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, money laundering and terrorist financing risk, and conduct risk—including responsibilities established under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, International Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Manual, and Business Conduct Guidelines. * Fosters a high-performance environment and implements a workforce strategy that attracts, retains, develops, and motivates the team; to achieve this, promotes an inclusive workplace, communicates the vision, values, and business strategy, and manages succession and development planning for the team.
