




Job Summary: Coordinate, monitor, and evaluate blast hole patterns and blasting operations; control explosives quality; and prepare reports. Key Responsibilities: 1. A reputable company engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of explosives is seeking a Blasting Technician to perform the following duties: Coordinate with mine departments responsible for work assignments or designated work areas to track, monitor, evaluate, implement, and recommend blast hole patterns and blasting operations, aiming to optimize results through the use of accessories and explosives. Travel to assigned mine sites using the vehicle provided by the company and accompanied by designated personnel for site reconnaissance. Monitor, collect, and evaluate data from completed blasts prior to implementing recommendations, identifying errors and failures in personnel performance and blasting standards. Control explosives quality by verifying emulsion viscosity and density, as well as ammonium nitrate granulometry. Ensure density values fall within established ranges and immediately report any deviations to the field supervisor. Prepare daily density measurement reports and submit them to the resident engineer; verify correct data transmission into the centralized blasting system. Direct and install wiring to the blasting face; inspect and program the BCU; label electronic detonators. Comply with mining occupational safety and health regulations and guidelines; coordinate blasting operations and procedures, including drill pattern design and burden factor determination. Plan the mining schedule and long-hole drill design; recommend appropriate explosive usage based on rock mass quality. Requirements: Graduate in Mining Engineering, Mining Technician, or related fields. Minimum 2 years’ prior experience in underground mining operations. Knowledge of electronic detonators.
