Job Description Mission: Collaborate and provide support on projects carried out by his/her unit/department, in keeping with the guidelines given by his/her supervisor, performing the tasks delegated to him/her and satisfying the needs of the internal client. This sub-function is responsible for all activities related with the safety and health of the company’s workers. Its duties include: recognition and assessment of risks of occupational accidents and illnesses, control of risks at the workplace or working facilities, training on risk prevention and dissemination of the importance of this prevention, recording of information and analysis of information, advising and technical support to the company’s employees. Candidate Requirements JOB OBJECTIVE Provide comprehensive nursing care to workers based on the Nursing Process (NP), including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—ensuring high-quality care for workers. REQUIREMENTS Academic Qualifications:* University-trained Registered Nurse (licensed, registered, and certified) * Specialization in Occupational Medicine / Occupational Health (certified). Experience:* Minimum 3 years as an occupational nurse in infrastructure construction projects or related fields. * Experience managing medical emergencies on construction sites. * Knowledge of construction-specific hazards. Location:* Willingness to reside and work in the city of Cusco for the duration of the project. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:* Actively monitor worker health through regular rounds at worksites, identifying early signs of fatigue, heat stress, discomfort, or any condition that may affect their well-being or safety. * Provide primary care and advanced first aid in case of accidents, incidents, or health conditions affecting personnel, implementing stabilization and referral protocols when necessary. * Provide technical advice and operational support to the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH/HSE) department in implementing preventive programs, investigating incidents, and improving working conditions. * Proactively prevent situations endangering worker health by identifying ergonomic, psychosocial, and environmental risk factors and proposing corrective measures. * Promote and strengthen a culture of health and self-care within the organization through talks, informational materials, and direct interventions encouraging healthy work habits. * Ensure implementation of the Comprehensive Epidemiological Surveillance Plan at work, designed to prevent and control communicable diseases and health outbreaks among the workforce. * Report, track, and record workers with health conditions potentially affecting their performance or posing collective risks, ensuring confidentiality of information. * Train and raise awareness among staff on disease prevention, occupational hygiene, mental health, and other topics relevant to the project. * Produce periodic reports and management reports regarding occupational health surveillance, prevention, and control activities. * Manage and maintain medical equipment, first-aid kits, and assigned workplace facilities in optimal condition, reporting any anomalies or requirements for replenishment of supplies.
