**Role and Responsibilities**
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance within your assigned area of responsibility, with the objective of fostering a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and delivering solutions and advisory support. You will also demonstrate your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence across ABB’s value chain.
The work model for this role is: On-site
This role supports the Automation Business Unit in Lima, Peru.
You will be primarily responsible for:
* Complying with applicable national and international legislation and ABB project-specific standards related to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)
* Implementing, maintaining, and improving each element of the Health, Safety, and Environment Management System (HSEMS)
* Maintaining robust internal and external communication channels within the project.
* Identifying hazards and environmental aspects present in the project, assessing risk and impact levels, and establishing operational controls based on the "Hierarchy of Controls".
* Executing the project’s Health, Safety, and Environment training plan, ensuring all personnel (ABB and contractors) possess the required competencies to perform their duties.
* Implementing proactive and reactive monitoring systems.
Qualifications for the Position
* Engineering degree (Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial, Electrical, Mining, Metallurgical, Geological, or related fields).
* Specialization or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (desirable).
* Minimum 3 years of experience in similar roles, ideally within large-scale enterprises or projects, including supervision of high-risk activities.
* Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards (desirable).
* Intermediate English proficiency and intermediate MS Office skills (desirable).
* Experience supervising high-risk activities (desirable)
* Key competencies: results orientation, teamwork, leadership, effective communication, and customer focus
