Manage all e-commerce opportunities. Build strong working relationships with tourism boards and community leaders. **Candidate Profile** **Education and Experience Requirements** * High school diploma or equivalent (GED); 2 years of experience in sales and marketing or related field. Or * Two-year degree from an accredited college/university in marketing, business administration, hospitality and restaurant management, or related field; no work experience required. **Core Job Activities** **Conduct daily marketing activities to achieve departmental goals** * Assist in coordinating room, food & beverage, spa, and golf promotions across the region. * Develop leisure marketing plans to allocate pricing incentives, packages, and programs aimed at increasing occupancy. * Maintain, update, and manage all websites. * Coordinate offers and information for all brand loyalty reward email publications and inserts. * Write manuals and hotel collateral materials. * Participate in all hotel visual projects (e.g., signage). * Use and interpret all reports necessary for sound marketing recommendations, including but not limited to DMA market reports, past guest lists (utilizing leisure rate codes), and tracking. * Review and analyze tracking for all websites and email campaigns, including individual hotel websites as well as corporate email campaign results and Marriott.com hotel reports. * Ensure consistent marketing messaging is communicated across all advertising and collateral. * Manage the annual marketing budget. * Provide regular tracking/return on investment (ROI) analysis for promotions and website/email campaigns, calculating ROI using industry averages and applying this knowledge to future planning. * Track ROI for all marketing activities (including online, direct mail, and print advertising). * Track actual marketing budget versus planned marketing budget and provide recommendations and advice regarding fund reallocation as needed. * Ensure consistency of expression across all customer touchpoints and marketing communications—not only adhering to corporate graphic standards but also representing the individual hotel. **Leverage market trends and target customer insights to maximize revenue** * Evaluate new marketing opportunities for the hotel. * Ensure the hotel is represented on all high-potential internet sites that offer business potential. * Collaborate closely with respective convention and visitors bureaus and tourism boards. * Use and interpret all reports necessary for sound marketing recommendations, including but not limited to DMA market reports, past guest lists (utilizing leisure rate codes), and tracking. * Review and analyze tracking for all websites and email campaigns, including individual hotel websites as well as corporate email campaign results and Marriott.com hotel reports. * Develop the hotel’s strategic marketing plan, covering group, leisure, and local activities. * Plan and oversee all photo shoots, developing shot lists while keeping in mind the hotel’s objectives and brand image. **Build successful relationships that drive sales and marketing opportunities** * Identify and communicate with distribution channels capable of selling distressed inventory to increase hotel occupancy. * Provide creative, unique tools to all sales channels to support hotel sales and marketing. * Serve as liaison between corporate and individual hotels to launch initiatives and ensure hotels fully leverage all corporate-provided opportunities. * Partner with media buyers to plan and execute advertising campaigns. * Assist the hotel in promoting various events, keeping in mind the strategy and objectives of the promotion, as well as the “no other alternative” prerequisite. * Assist the hotel in providing materials, tracking/analysis, and presentations to owners. * Represent the hotel in dealings with all vendors, balancing quality and price, requesting estimates, and approving all materials as needed. **Other Marketing Responsibilities** * Maintain detailed documentation and records on all matters related to hotel marketing materials (e.g., photo usage rights, vendor contracts). * Ensure the hotel complies with all corporate marketing guidelines. * Approve all invoices through the MarrCom office. *Marriott International is committed to being an equal opportunity employer and welcomes all applicants, offering them equal employment opportunities.
