Job Summary: Plan and schedule freight transportation routes to ensure operational efficiency, on-time delivery, and reduced logistics costs, while considering safety and traffic conditions. Evaluate alternative routes and adjust planning in response to changes SHALOM, a company specializing in nationwide freight and parcel transportation, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of ROUTE PLANNER. JOB OBJECTIVE: To plan and schedule freight transportation routes ensuring maximum operational efficiency, on-time delivery, optimal fleet utilization, and reduced logistics costs, while accounting for safety, traffic, and operational conditions. · JOB REQUIREMENTS Technical or university degree in Logistics, Transportation, or related fields Experience in freight transportation planning Intermediate or advanced Excel proficiency Familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) is desirable. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: Design optimal routes based on destination, cargo type, and priority Schedule daily departures and assign vehicles Assign vehicles according to capacity, cargo type, and availability Assign drivers based on experience, route, and performance Coordinate vehicle availability with maintenance and operations Reduce empty kilometers through cargo consolidation Maximize vehicle utilization Evaluate alternative routes (cost vs. time vs. safety) for branch agency operations Adjust planning in response to operational changes Coordinate with operations or branches regarding loading/unloading times Align with GPS for monitoring critical routes Report risks or constraints to the Coordinator Identify high-risk routes (weather, traffic, security) Propose alternative routes Re-schedule in case of anticipated incidents Validate that planned activities are executed correctly · WE OFFER Full payroll registration with all statutory benefits Route-based mobility allowance 100% covered meals Career development path. -Requirements- Minimum education: University degree years of experience Keywords: planner, route planner, designer
