Interpretation of electrical diagrams and standards **Transformer Specialist Electrical Technician** General Information **Position:** Transformer Specialist Electrical Technician **Department:** Production / Technical Service **Reports to:** Production Manager **Work Mode:** On-site **Schedule:** Full-time **Location:** Lima Position Objective To carry out the manufacturing, maintenance, repair, diagnosis, electrical testing, and installation of single-phase, three-phase, isolation, autotransformers, and voltage stabilizers, ensuring compliance with quality standards, electrical safety requirements, and applicable technical regulations. Main Responsibilities * Manufacture single-phase and three-phase transformers according to electrical diagrams. * Manufacture autotransformers of various capacities. * Perform transformer winding using copper and aluminum wire. * Execute complete assembly of the magnetic core. * Install transformers in electrical panels and industrial installations. * Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance. * Diagnose electrical faults using measuring instruments. * Perform operational electrical tests. * Measure insulation resistance using a Megger. * Verify winding continuity and resistance. * Perform turns ratio tests (TTR) where applicable. * Measure current, voltage, power, and temperature during tests. * Interpret single-line and multi-line electrical diagrams. * Prepare technical reports for maintenance and installation activities. * Identify defective components and replace them. * Install electrical protection devices associated with transformers. * Comply with electrical safety procedures. * Maintain order and cleanliness in the work area. * Adhere to company-established quality standards. * Provide technical support to customers during installations and commissioning. * Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) when required. * Support continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. Academic Requirements * Certified Technician in Industrial Electricity. * Certified Technician in Industrial Electrotechnology. * Certified Technician in Electromechanics. * Desired: Courses on Electrical Transformers. * Desired: Training in Electrical Safety. Experience * Minimum 2 years in transformer manufacturing or maintenance. * Experience with dry-type transformers. * Experience with autotransformers. * Experience with isolation transformers. * Experience in industrial electrical installations. * Experience using electrical measuring instruments.
