Join our team as **Head of Technical Support for Underground Mining Equipment.** **Your Mission** You will be responsible for leading the Technical Support area for the Andean Caribbean Cluster, ensuring specialized technical management of the underground drilling, loading, and hauling equipment fleet. Your role will be critical in delivering technical support to customers and operations, managing warranties, analyzing root causes, coordinating with local and global functions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen equipment reliability, availability, and performance—fully aligned with Epiroc standards. **What Will Be My Responsibilities?** * Lead management of the URE Technical Support area for the Andean Caribbean Cluster, ensuring timely, high-level technical support to internal and external customers. * Manage dissemination and updates of technical information related to the URE fleet via corporate platforms such as TechInfo, MOL, and other applicable tools. * Administer warranty handling processes in accordance with corporate policies, ensuring execution within defined timelines and promoting root cause identification for recurring events. * Lead resolution of complex technical incidents related to equipment performance, considering operational, maintenance, application, and reliability aspects. * Coordinate with Engineering, Operations, Warranty, Global Technical Support, and Product Company to resolve technical issues and implement product improvements. * Monitor URE fleet technical KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement in availability, reliability, and maintainability. * Identify technical training needs for service personnel and promote development of the Epiroc Prime program. * Monitor costs and promote efficiency in technical support delivery, contributing to maintaining a positive Service Variance. * Maintain coordination with engine manufacturers’ representatives—such as Cummins and Deutz—for failure resolution, warranty handling, technical campaigns, and product improvements. * Promote continuous improvement, compliance with the Epiroc Code of Conduct, and adherence to safety, occupational health, environmental, and applicable legal requirements. **Ideal Candidate for This Position:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical disciplines. * Advanced studies or certification in Maintenance Management, Technology, Project Management, PMO, or similar fields preferred. * Minimum 5 years of experience in technical support roles, preferably with heavy machinery for mining. * Minimum 3 years of experience in mining operations or fieldwork. * Technical knowledge of underground mining drilling, loading, and hauling equipment. * Knowledge of root cause analysis, warranty management, continuous improvement, and maintenance management systems. * Advanced English or, at minimum, upper-intermediate level. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools such as Power BI or similar. * Willingness to travel to mining operations and valid driver’s license. * We seek an individual with leadership, effective communication, customer orientation, ability to work under pressure, planning and execution skills, collaboration, commitment, and innovation. **It all starts with people.** The world needs metals and minerals for the energy transition and our cities and infrastructure must be developed to serve a growing population.
