Position Summary: We are seeking a creative and functional children's apparel designer with experience in designing comfortable, safe, and attractive garments, proficient in materials, ergonomics, trends, and garment construction techniques. Key Highlights: 1. Design of comfortable, safe, and attractive children's apparel. 2. Extensive knowledge of materials, ergonomics, and children's fashion trends. 3. Collection development and production supervision. We are looking for a designer experienced in comfortable, safe, and attractive clothing for boys and girls, combining creativity and functionality. The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of soft materials, ergonomics (freedom of movement), current trends, safety regulations, pattern making, and garment construction techniques to ensure durability and functionality of the garments. **DESCRIPTION:** * Concept design and creation, including sketches of children's apparel for boys and girls. * Technical expertise for appropriate fabric selection (hypoallergenic, soft, durable), pattern making, garment construction techniques, and frequently, computer-aided design. * Attention to safety and ergonomics, awareness of hazards (e.g., small parts, toxic materials), and focus on comfort for children's mobility. * Trend research with the ability to anticipate and adapt to children's fashion trends (colors, prints, styles). * Commercial orientation, balancing artistic designs with market demands and production budgets. * Technical knowledge of various fabrics, including shrinkage, seam types, and reactions to washing and printing processes. * Proficiency in technical specification sheets. * Familiarity with pattern-making systems (e.g., Optitex). * Prototype and sample development (not required). * Production follow-up. * Immediate availability to start work. * One year of professional experience as a designer in woven, knitted, and fashion apparel. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Collection design: creating concepts, sketches, and technical specification sheets for apparel, including fashion collections. * Material selection: choosing durable and comfortable fabrics, with knowledge of textile chemistry. * Production supervision and quality control of finishing, measurements, and final production. * Procurement management and coordination with various service providers. * Effective follow-up and communication with the design and production teams to ensure accurate interpretation of designs. * Other design-related activities. **OFFERED:** * Positive work environment * Monthly remuneration of PEN 2,500 based on experience * Number of vacancies: 1 Employment type: Permanent Salary: Up to PEN 2,500.00 per month Work location: On-site employment
