**About 60 Decibels:**
60 Decibels (60dB) is a global, technology-enabled impact measurement firm that delivers speed and repeatability to social impact measurement and customer insight. We provide genuine performance benchmarks for impact, enabling organizations to understand their impact relative to peers and set performance goals.
We collect this data through telephone surveys conducted by our global research network, comprising Survey Enumerators from over 80 countries.
**About the Role:**
As a Survey Enumerator (or Research Assistant) for 60 Decibels, your primary responsibility will be to conduct telephone surveys with consumers and/or beneficiaries of our clients’ products and services (respondents). You will work closely with our Research Project Teams to ensure delivery of high-quality information to clients and compliance with data governance and integrity protocols.
This position is **fully remote**, and contracts are typically based on achieving daily completed survey targets.
**Experience:**
* Prior experience in data collection, conducting research, or working as a survey enumerator at a market research firm (desirable).
* Prior experience in customer service and/or call center roles (desirable).
* Prior experience in the social sector is a strong advantage.
**Responsibilities:**
**As a Survey Enumerator, you will:**
* Participate in project onboarding calls with the 60dB team to understand the specific project context before contacting respondents.
* Conduct telephone surveys with customers and beneficiaries:
* *Ensure you interview the correct respondents listed on your contact sheets.*
* *Clearly explain the survey objectives and procedures to respondents while addressing any questions or concerns they may have.*
* *Achieve daily survey targets within specified deadlines and immediately report any obstacles to the Project Team.*
* Accurately, completely, consistently, and reliably enter telephone survey data into the 60dB platform (in English) \—this data must be entered exactly as stated by the respondent, not paraphrased or summarized.
* Proactively communicate project progress updates and raise any queries or concerns with the 60dB team.
* Review and address quality control feedback sent by your Project Team within the agreed timeline, and provide regular status updates.
* Uphold data privacy and integrity by strictly adhering to 60dB procedures, avoiding data fabrication or recording non-existent or inaccurate data.
**Requirements:**
* **Strong organizational and communication skills:** able to manage tasks independently and collaborate seamlessly with 60 Decibels Project Teams via email and Slack.
* **Relationship-building aptitude:** demonstrates ability to build rapport and establish trust with respondents from diverse cultural backgrounds.
* **Attention to detail:** meticulous and ensures accurate recording of respondent answers, without errors or omissions.
* **English language skills:** able to accurately translate respondents’ answers during data entry.
* **Work-readiness:** has access to a phone, laptop or computer, along with a reliable internet connection and a quiet work environment.
* **Technical knowledge:** familiarity with or proficiency in data collection applications is a plus!
