We are currently seeking new talent for the position of Project Engineer – Quality for one of our services at a mining unit. What is your challenge? Plan, implement, and supervise quality management systems for the organization’s projects, ensuring compliance with established standards, regulations, and specifications. Evaluate existing maintenance programs across each operation. Advise on optimizing maintenance strategies. Supervise compliance with VEOLIA’s and customers’ asset maintenance plans. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions. Develop resource optimization plans. Coordinate across different plants and locations. Establish and monitor maintenance and quality KPIs. Provide technical support to operations—both as technical support and as Project Manager—in matters related to service quality assurance. Develop and maintain quality control procedures within operations. Identify technical improvement opportunities in operations. Coordinate implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Optimize processes and ensure customer satisfaction by delivering products and services that meet established requirements. Verify systems and procedures to ensure compliance with technical standards, facilitating quality and safety documentation. Establish detailed guidelines specifying what must be verified and which quality standards apply. Update the Quality Management System (QMS) with incidents, corrections, and implemented improvements. Audit systems according to ISO 9001:2015 requirements. Define quality metrics for all manufacturing procedures. Supervise the entire production cycle and conduct periodic tests to detect potential failures. Inspect product materials and electrical systems for defects and assess their durability. Identify root causes of technical issues and recommend corrective actions. Prepare reports on failures and corrective actions (e.g., number of defective raw materials per order). Review current prototypes and quality documentation. Set and track quality objectives. Coordinate with external quality auditors and technicians to ensure regulatory compliance. Work with internal teams to increase customer satisfaction by improving product quality. Provide support for the startup of Petrobras’ acid plant in Brazil. Prepare the coker quench injection project in Chile with ENAP. Prepare the startup of ENAP’s acid plant. Develop Veolia Latam’s methodology for complex projects. Requirements What do we seek in you? Professional degree in Sanitary Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. Minimum 7 years of experience in similar roles, including at least 3 years in project management. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams. Intermediate English proficiency (desirable).
