Position: SSOMA Supervisor
Department: Safety, Occupational Health, and Environment

Reports To: SSOMA Manager / Site Resident / Project Coordinator
Position Objective
Supervise, control, and ensure compliance with Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental regulations in project operational activities, guaranteeing safe working conditions, accident prevention, legal compliance, and proper risk management. Knowledge of the Lima Metro Construction Consortium’s guidelines and procedures is required.
Profile Requirements
Academic Qualifications:
Professional or Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene and Safety Engineering, or related fields.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience as an SSOMA Supervisor, HSE Supervisor, or Risk Prevention Specialist, preferably in construction projects, industrial plants, maintenance, installation, civil works, or high-risk activities.
Requirement: Must have served as an SSOMA Supervisor on Lima Metro construction projects.
Required Knowledge:
Knowledge of Law No. 29783, Supreme Decree No. 005\-2012\-TR, Standard G\-050, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001\.
Proficiency in IPERC, ATS, PETS, PETAR, high-risk work permits, safety inspections, statistical reporting, incident investigation, and SSOMA document control.
Environmental Management Program, Training Program.
Desirable Trainings:
Working at Heights, Confined Space Work, Hot Work, Electrical Hazard, Lifting Operations, MATPEL, First Aid, Fire Extinguisher Use, and Emergency Response.
Main Responsibilities
Conduct daily safety talks, inductions, and training for operational personnel.
Review and validate ATS, PETAR, IPERC, PETS, and work permits prior to commencement of activities.
Supervise high-risk activities: working at heights, hot work, confined space entry, electrical hazard, lifting operations, and handling of hazardous materials.
Verify compliance with safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations, procedures, standards, and Lima Metro guidelines.
Inspect personal protective equipment (PPE), tools, equipment, fire extinguishers, first-aid kits, emergency equipment, and working conditions.
Coordinate with supervisors, department heads, maintenance staff, and contractors to ensure safe execution of activities.
Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports, indicators, statistics, and compliance reports.
Manage safety requirements and track corrective and preventive actions.
Participate in investigations of incidents, accidents, and unsafe conditions.
Ensure implementation of the Annual Occupational Safety and Health Plan and project SSOMA documentation.
