Job Description We are seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced Country Manager to lead the launch and development of Afternow’s operations in Peru. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on environments, has experience building teams from scratch, and understands the dynamics of digital and technical roles. You will be responsible for establishing the local team, defining processes, and ensuring alignment with Afternow’s global standards and culture. Your Responsibilities - Lead the setup and growth of Afternow’s office in Peru, including operational and administrative foundations - Build, manage, and develop a high-performing local team (recruiting, onboarding, coaching) - Serve as the primary point of contact between the Peru office and global leadership - Define and implement local hiring strategies, with a focus on digital and technical roles - Establish efficient processes, workflows, and team structures - Ensure delivery quality and team performance meet company standards - Foster a strong, collaborative, and accountable team culture - Identify opportunities for growth and scalability in the local market - Support business development efforts as needed Desired Experience - Proven experience in a leadership or team lead role, ideally within a digital agency or technology environment - Technical background, preferably with prior hands-on experience in a technical role or close collaboration with engineering teams - Solid understanding of modern technology stacks, including backend (e.g., Java, Spring Boot), frontend (e.g., React), and mobile (e.g., Flutter) - Demonstrated experience building and scaling teams from scratch - Strong understanding of digital and/or technical roles (e.g., developers, designers, product roles, marketing specialists) - Excellent leadership and people management skills - Practical, proactive profile comfortable in startup-like environments - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills - Fluent command of English and Spanish Preferred - Experience opening new offices or expanding into new markets - Experience working with international teams or in remote-first environments What You Can Expect - Opportunity to build and lead a team from scratch - Culture: We value collaboration, openness, curiosity, learning, and leadership.
