SSOMA SUPERVISOR – LIMA AND CALLAO

Position Summary: We are seeking an SSOMA Supervisor to ensure compliance with safety, occupational health, and environmental regulations on construction and service projects. Key Highlights: 1. Authority to halt work activities involving serious or imminent risks. **SIMS YHVH E.I.R.L.**, a company specialized in construction, renovations, comprehensive maintenance, metal structures, civil works, and electrical installations, is currently seeking an **SSOMA Supervisor** for our projects and services located across various zones of Metropolitan Lima and Callao. Main Responsibilities: * Supervise compliance with Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental (SSOMA) regulations during project execution. * Prepare, review, and manage SSOMA documentation: IPERC, ATS, PETS, work permits, risk matrices, procedures, emergency plans, and training records. * Conduct safety talks, inductions, re-inductions, and training sessions for operational staff. * Supervise high-risk activities: working at heights, hot work, load lifting, electrical work, excavations, dismantling operations, and use of mobile equipment. * Inspect tools, equipment, ladders, scaffolding, lifelines, personal protective equipment (PPE), and work areas. * Verify that personnel possess valid PPE, SCTR insurance, medical fitness certificates, required trainings, and up-to-date documentation. * Coordinate directly with the client’s SSOMA representatives and document identified observations. * Participate in safety meetings, audits, inspections, and client-requested homologations. * Report substandard acts and conditions, incidents, accidents, and opportunities for improvement. * Prepare daily, weekly, and final safety reports. * Maintain updated physical and digital project documentation archives. * Exercise authority to halt work when serious or imminent risk conditions exist. Requirements: * Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Hygiene and Safety Engineering, or related fields. * Minimum 3 years of experience as an SSOMA Supervisor, Risk Prevention Specialist, or Safety Supervisor. * Experience in construction, renovations, industrial maintenance, civil works, metal structures, electrical installations, or general services. * Training or diploma in Occupational Safety and Health. * Knowledge of IPERC, ATS, PETS, work permits, and safety plans development. * Knowledge of high-risk work procedures. * Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Ability to lead operational staff and coordinate with client representatives. * Willingness to travel to various projects within Metropolitan Lima and Callao. * Availability to work daytime, nighttime, or weekend shifts according to project scheduling. * Immediate availability to join the team. Desirable Qualifications: * Valid professional license and active registration with the relevant professional association. * Certifications in working at heights, hot work, confined spaces, load lifting, electrical hazard, and first aid. * Experience working with industrial, corporate, shopping center, plant, warehouse, or office clients. * Valid driver’s license. * Residence in Metropolitan Lima or Callao.
