Heavy Equipment Operator (shear) Responsibilities: \- Participate in the 5S procedure within the Scrap Yard and stop work if conditions change (adverse weather, substandard tools, etc.). \- Keep machinery in optimal working condition by performing relevant minor maintenance tasks to ensure proper operation, cleanliness, and usage. Immediately report any defects or malfunctions of the assigned machine to the HSE Operations Manager/Operations Supervisor. \- Report and request necessary supplies from the logistics department 5 days in advance of the hour meter approaching (every 250 hours) to perform preventive maintenance on the grapple equipment. \- Ensure all personnel are outside the marked work zone boundary before starting the equipment. \- Cut metallic and non-metallic waste following the established procedure steps. \- Comply with established protocols in case of incidents and/or accidents. \- Operate the excavator with shear attachment according to the manual instructions. \- Drive vehicles in accordance with MTC licenses and CIA Antamina requirements. \- Participate in training activities directed at your area and apply knowledge to procedures requested by the Safety Engineer and Operations Supervisor. \- Follow daily instructions from the immediate supervisor. \- Lead continuous improvement efforts to foster a harmonious work environment for employee well-being and company success. \- Comply with and enforce the rules, policies, and procedures of the Integrated Management System. \- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor that are inherent to the position. Requirements: \- Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy machinery. \- Availability to work in Huaraz. \- Availability to work under a mining 20x10 schedule. \- Technical education.
