Our team in Peru is expanding, and we are currently seeking a **Senior Cost Engineer (8x6\)** to join our Minerals \& Metals business line on one of our key site-based projects. **About the Role** Prepare and evaluate detailed cost estimates for tailings dam construction, including materials, labor, and equipment. Monitor project costs throughout various project phases, ensuring efficient resource allocation. Conduct field measurements and detailed analysis to ensure compliance with project scope. Oversee the preparation of periodic financial reports, highlighting budget variances and forecasts. Ensure construction practices comply with established safety, environmental, and quality regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mining engineers, geotechnical experts, and environmental specialists. Review and validate progress payments and manage claims or contractual variations. **About You** * University degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Architecture, or related fields. * Minimum of 8 to 12 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in mining or hydraulic infrastructure construction projects. * Experience with tailings dam construction regulations. * Proficiency in cost estimation and cost management tools. * Advanced knowledge of construction processes and specific materials for tailings dams (geotextiles, compacted materials, etc.). * Knowledge of environmental regulations applicable to mining projects. * Availability to work on-site under a rotational work schedule. **Why Ausenco?** We support individual growth and aim to enable you to work in a way that leverages your strengths and meets your needs.
