Role objective: Execute the electronic initiation process of blasting to ensure proper detonation according to client requirements. **Having Daveytronic, Fametronic or IKON certification is desirable.** **Main responsibilities:** * Plan and coordinate tasks with personnel involved in blasting operations. * Ensure adequate stock of Daveytronic products at the operation site. * Perform blasting design, programming, connection, checking, loading and detonation processes. * Collect data from the blasting process and generate daily, weekly and monthly reports regarding performance indicators, progress, anomalies, support in monitoring downstream post-blast results, and improvement opportunities. * Conduct training sessions on products and their properties. * Ensure customer needs are met by addressing their specific demands and requirements. * Coordinate blasting activities with the customer and provide process reports. **Requirements**: * At least 1 year of experience with electronic initiation systems (desirable). * Minimum 2 years of experience in mining. * Class AIB driver's license (desirable). * Technical degree or Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering or related field. * Knowledge of blasting design software. * Knowledge of blasting processes. * Knowledge of explosives and detonator usage and properties. * Availability to work under a 10x10 shift regime
