




**Professional Intern in Community Training for Emergencies** **Area related to the position:** Training and Capacity Building Modality: Professional Internship (with potential for full-time employment) **Requirements:** * Graduate or undergraduate student in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Nursing, or related fields. * Experience in the Peruvian Fire Department and/or as a paramedic (desirable). * Experience or training in disaster risk management, civil protection, or emergency response (desirable). * Valid driver's license A\-I or A\-II with at least 3 years of validity (mandatory). * Intermediate-level proficiency in office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). **Desirable courses and trainings:** Formal certification or proven experience in any of the following topics will be valued. * First aid: hemorrhage control, burn management, fractures and sprains, CPR, Heimlich maneuver. * PHTLS – Prehospital Trauma Life Support * Search and rescue. * High-angle rescue, vehicle extrication, and heavy vehicle rescue. * Safe handling of corpses in disasters. * Prehospital care. * Hazardous materials (HAZMAT), spills of hazardous substances and goods. Levels I, II and III * Incident Command System (ICS). * Fire prevention and emergency plans * Emergency and safety plans. * Damage Assessment and Needs Analysis (DANA). * Emergency response plan: Evacuation due to natural phenomena and/or human-induced events. **Competencies:** * Good oral communication skills and teaching abilities. * Ability to work with communities and diverse groups. * Proactivity, empathy, commitment, and service vocation. * Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments. * Skill in preparing technical reports and presentations. **Main Functions:** * Participate in the design and facilitation of training sessions on emergency and disaster topics (HAZMAT, first aid, fires, evacuation, etc.). * Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of community drills and preparedness activities. * Provide technical support in developing educational materials, records, and training minutes. * Carry out logistical and operational coordination. * Assist in recording and systematizing information collected during activities. **Internship Conditions:** * Modality: In-person and field-based * Location: Huaraz * Financial stipend, travel allowances, meals, accommodation, and internship certificate provided * Work schedule: 20 x 10 Job type: Full-time Work location: On-site Job type: Full-time Salary: S/.1,500\.00 per month Work location: On-site
