Nexa is seeking a Safety Engineer to ensure the sustainability of occupational safety and health indicators at the El Porvenir unit.

**Responsibilities and Authorities**
* Monitor implementation of the annual occupational safety and health program in coordination with the SSO Manager.
* Manage preventive programs aimed at sustaining safety indicators below corporate KPIs.
* Evaluate and control safety procedures and standards, PUE, and critical controls.
* Propose appropriate methods and procedures for safe work.
* Conduct periodic inspections, audits, and evaluations of operational processes and specialized companies—as well as others on the leader’s agenda.
* Coordinate with the SSO Manager on medical department activities to promote preventive health and wellness programs for all employees of the mining unit.
* Approve management documents of specialized companies prior to commencement of their activities.
* Review documents of employees performing high-risk activities for their Critical Risk Photocheck management.
* Inform all Nexa personnel and specialized company staff about hazards and risks associated with their work environment and the potential impact on their safety and health.
* Ensure timely implementation of recommendations from routine inspections, Committee inspections, MEM inspections, OSINERGMIN inspections, and MINTRA inspections, and submit a report to the Operations Management.
**Requirements and Qualifications**
* Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Mining Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Hygiene, Safety, or Industrial Engineering.
* Minimum two years of prior experience in the role, preferably within the same sector.
* Valid A1 driver’s license.
**Desirable:**
* Specialization or postgraduate degree in Safety Management.
* Intermediate-level English and/or Portuguese proficiency.
