You will be responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive mechanical maintenance activities on equipment and facilities, ensuring asset reliability, availability, and safe operation; complying with Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental Management System guidelines; and supervising personnel under your responsibility to ensure adherence to the same guidelines. What You Will Do Prepare all required documentation prior to performing any task in accordance with standard procedures. Evaluate and complete respective Safety forms before commencing planned activities, in compliance with company standards and applicable regulations. Perform all tasks safely, orderly, and cleanly at all times. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor belts, pulleys, idlers, chutes, hydraulic systems, pumps, and auxiliary equipment. Carry out disassembly, assembly, alignment, and adjustment of mechanical components. Replace bearings, seals, couplings, and power transmission elements. Participate in maintenance activities during scheduled shutdowns and operational emergencies. Identify and report substandard conditions or potential equipment failures. Strictly comply with lockout/tagout procedures. Responsible for operating pneumatic and hydraulic wrenches to remove bolts and washers from liners to be replaced. Responsible for pushing used liners to be removed using pneumatic and hydraulic hammers. Repair or replace defective machine and equipment parts. Perform bolt torque adjustments and verify pressure settings of pneumatic wrenches used for this task. Also verify bolt torque tables as applicable. Coordinate with the service provider responsible for verification and calibration of pneumatic tools to ensure periodic inspection during service. Conduct machinery and equipment inspections, measurements, and record results. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specialized information per applicable standards and specifications. Apply industrial/environmental quality and safety technical standards. Report any incident, accident, and/or hazardous condition that may affect personnel safety and health, equipment, or the environment. Use resources and tools appropriately, maintaining tools organized and in good condition. Operate pneumatic, hydraulic, torque, and precision tools. Perform rigger, signalman, lookout, assistant fitter, and welding functions upon evaluation, qualification, and authorization for the aforementioned roles, if requested by your immediate supervisor. Support tool warehouse operations, subject to qualification and if requested by your immediate supervisor. Operate vehicles (pickup trucks) only when holding the corresponding permits, authorizations, and driver’s license category appropriate for the vehicle type, and after evaluation, qualification, and authorization per company guidelines. Propose best practices to keep work procedures updated and support continuous improvement. Define usage, status, and applicability of resources under your responsibility. Inspect and prepare tools and materials for service. Comply with internal company rules and regulations. Report any incident, accident, and/or hazardous condition that may affect personnel safety and health, equipment, or the environment. Comply with Peruvian state regulations, Metso standards, and client requirements. Record executed activities and report technical findings to the supervisor. Support implementation of reliability improvements and equipment optimization initiatives. Comply with service mobilization and demobilization according to company policies. If required and authorized by the Supervisor, perform supplementary vehicle driving duties for transporting materials and tools, provided you hold the certifications and mine-site homologations required for such activities. Fulfill all labor obligations stipulated by current legislation and internal company regulations, including those related to occupational safety and health—both for the company and its clients (e.g., comply with Management System regulations, SST Policy, RIT, RISST, Safety Standards, procedures, and control measures identified in IPERC, PETS, PETAR, and ATS; use PPE; attend scheduled trainings; report incidents, accidents, or unsafe conditions; maintain order and cleanliness; halt any activity posing significant risk to personnel life/health or the environment; comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 standards as applicable; and others). Who We Are Looking For **Education:** Mechanical Technician specializing in Industrial Plant Maintenance. **Experience:** Minimum 3 years’ experience in concentrator plant maintenance. **Certifications:** Knowledge, certification, and experience (2 years) in operating MANLIFT elevated work platforms (for operators only). Knowledge, certification, and experience (2 years) in scaffold erection and dismantling. **Desirable Knowledge:** Solid theoretical/practical knowledge in maintenance and troubleshooting of process plant equipment: feeders, conveyor belts, shiploaders. Pumping systems and piping. Experience in structural assembly. Experience in metrology and alignment. Precision assembly. Reading and interpretation of hydraulic and pneumatic schematics. Basic knowledge of predictive techniques such as alignment and vibration analysis. Theoretical/practical knowledge of maintenance welding repairs. Theoretical/practical knowledge of powered equipment and tool usage. Knowledge and application of NDT predictive techniques (penetrant testing, ultrasonics, magnetic particle testing).
